DER HERO UNTERSTÜTZT DIE VOM
ERDBEBEN BETROFFENEN MENSCHEN
Ende August
2016 wurde Mittelitalien von einem verheerenden Erdbeben heimgesucht, das nicht
nur Dörfer und Städte zerstört hat, sondern vor allem auch die Psyche all jener
Menschen erheblich belastet, die dort gelebt haben und jetzt in ihre Heimat
zurückkehren möchte, um das Herz des Apennin wieder mit Leben zu erfüllen.
Leider haben im Anschluss eine Serie weiterer Beben sowie außergewöhnlich
starke Schneefälle diese Bergregionen getroffen, die so ganz anders sind als
die unseren, aber ebenso faszinierend und voller Geschichte. Was unsere Freunde
in den Regionen Abruzzo, Umbrien, Marken und Latium erleben, trifft uns sehr
und wir möchten in diesen schmerzhaften und schwierigen Zeiten gerne helfen.
Nicht nur mit Worten und Gedanken, sondern mit ganz konkreter Unterstützung für
die vom Erdbeben betroffenen Menschen.
Aus diesem
Grund werden die Gelder aus den Charity-Aktionen während der Auflage 2017 des
HERO dazu verwendet, einen Hilfsfonds für die Menschen aus dieser vom Unglück
heimgesuchten Region zu gründen und damit sicherzustellen, dass sich der
Wiederaufbau nicht verzögert, sondern vielmehr auch mit einem Beitrag von uns
weitergehen kann.
Das in den
letzten Jahren vom HERO Südtirol Dolomites entwickelte Wohltätigkeitsprojekt
wird auch im Jahr 2017 wieder stattfinden – es sieht einen garantierten
Startplatz für alle vor, die eine der 200 „Charity“-Startnummern erwerben, die
zu einem Preis von je 200 Euro angeboten werden.
Eine hervorragende
Gelegenheit, um „Held für einen Tag“ zu werden und um all diejenigen zu
unterstützen, die sich in diesen Monaten in Mittelitalien ebenfalls als Helden
bewähren.
Hunderte von
Bikern, die sich dieses Jahr beim HERO angemeldet haben, kommen aus den vom
Erdbeben heimgesuchten Gegenden. Ihnen werden wir den Abschlussabend HERO Great
Finale widmen: Bei der Siegerehrung am Samstag, dem 17. Juni, werden wir die
HEROes aus Abruzzo, Umbrien, Marken und Latium einfach mal alle in den Arm
nehmen.
HERO STANDING ALONGSIDE THE
POPULATIONS HIT BY THE EARTHQUAKE
Central Italy
was struck by a devastating earthquake at the end of August, an earthquake
which not only wrecked towns and villages but hit hard the spirit of the
population of those parts, they people who have a strong desire to remain and
rebuild their lives in the Appenine area. Unfortunately fate dealt a heavy blow
and the situation was further complicated by heavy snowfalls and consequent
disruption. The mountain area is very different from our own but is equally
fascinating and full of history.
The experience our friends down in Abruzzo,
Umbria, Marche and Lazio are living impacts on us each and every day and in
these times of pain and difficulty we wish to contribute, not only with our
thoughts and prayers but in a concrete way so as to help regenerate the area
and stand side by side with the people there.
It is for this
reason that the HERO charity initiative for the 2017 edition will be aimed at
supporting the population affected by the earthquake, so that work of
construction can go ahead with a lending hand from ourselves. The voluntary
support project developed in these years by the HERO Südtirol Dolomites, and of
course continuing in 2017 and beyond, provides for a race starting number for
each of the “charity” places allocated, the cost for one being Euro 200. This
represents a great opportunity to become a hero for a day and to help those who
need to be truly heroic in facing the difficulties they have.
We know that
there are hundreds of bikers racing in the HERO who come from the regions hit
by the earthquake and it is with them in mind that the HERO Great Finale
evening will be especially dedicated: in fact during the prizegiving of
Saturday 17 June we will stand together with the HEROes of Abruzzo, Umbria,
Marche and Lazio.
