It’s time to dedicate a thought or two to the seventh running of the Südtirol Sellaronda HERO and announce two important aspects: the first is that race day is fixed for Saturday 18 June 2016; the second regards the opening of registrations to compete. You can register to take part from 8.00 pm on 15 September 2015. Also confirmed are the popular options to choose a race start number through the charity formula in favour of Assisport Alto Adige and the “race registration and vacation” package, accommodation being chosen from amongst one of the HERO’s Partner Hotels.
The World Championship edition of the Südtirol Sellaronda HERO 2015 has been
safely put to bed, and although our minds are still full of the fun, thrills,
and emotion that the week of off-road racing brought us, we as organisers of
the toughest mountain bike race there is need to turn our attention to the
future and in particular to the next running of the race.We start by communicating the date of the seventh edition of the HERO which will see more than 4,000 bikers line up for the start on Saturday 18 June 2016, the race to be over the traditional 87 and 60 kilometre courses. The total number of participants will be limited to 4,016 participants – all determined to become HEROes.
REGISTRATION OPENS ON 15 SEPTEMBER
Neither the routes nor the procedure to register will undergo significant changes. Registrations may be made from 8.00 pm on Tuesday 15 September and the registration window will remain open until all race start numbers have been claimed.
HERO FOR CHARITY
As in previous years it is likely that the registrations will be completed in just a few hours and those of you missing out in this sense will still have the chance to compete by purchasing one of the “guaranteed” race start numbers for the Südtirol Sellaronda HERO 2016, by buying one of the 200 “charity” race start numbers at a cost of Euro 200. In this manner the relationship established with Assisport Alto Adige, the association operating in favour of young sporting talent, is maintained.
