If the HERO were just a race we would not be here right
now in the middle of summer dedicating so much time to it. The truth of the
matter is that the HERO is something special and means so much to so many. We
realised this last year when we asked you to tell us your HERO stories, and
what stories they were, for you opened up and told us of episodes full of
emotion – sad stories at times, others of dreams being fulfilled, and some full
of humour and happy happy memories.
How difficult it was to choose just a dozen
to publish in the HERO Times, and now we feel that there is still so much to
tell that we ask you to contribute again. We ask you to write a page on
something which happened to you, something you experienced, either before,
during or after the HERO, and which you would wish to share with other HERO
