It
is said that “Behind every successful man there is always a great woman” and on
this very special day we can do no other than emphasise the fact! In support of
our male HEROes there are many mothers, wives, and girlfriends who demonstrate
great patience and encouragement as the men prepare for the big race and their
support never wains and is fundamental to the cause. And of course we need to
mention in the same voice all our female athletes, real heroines, who
meticulously prepare for the race day and overcome all the strains and
anxieties which are part and parcel of the race build-up.
To
recognise and support the efforts of all females present for the HERO event, be
they participants or simply accompanying others, we have dedicated time and
resource to a new HERO Women’s Lounge. It is a space reserved for the fairer
sex and all has been prepared to give that extra touch of comfort and style to
the days spent in Selva.
In
the HERO Women’s Lounge there is the chance to relax, enjoy a coffee at Bianchi
Cafè, and even enjoy a massage. Or, if the moment takes you there is the chance
to have a manicure, try out the products at the Sebamed cosmetics stand (there
is a free gift for the first hundred visitors). And so as to be in the best of
form one can book lessons focused on walking technique, running, yoga, stretch
and relax and tours by E-Bike in the mountain areas. Naturally enough there
will also be space and service dedicated to mums having their children along
with them: what better way to wind down than with a glass of prosecco whilst
the young ones are having fun with face painting.
In
terms of style the HERO Women’s Lounge will also have a fashion element with
clothing from Gore Bike Wear and the line Jacket For Women.
